Après 15 ans d’un combat contre le partage de la culture au nom d’un régime obsolète de droit d’auteur, les gouvernements du monde s’unissent afin de contrôler et censurer Internet. L’extinction du Net égyptien, la réaction du gouvernement US à WikiLeaks, l’adoption de mécanismes de blocage de sites web en Europe, ou les projets de « boutons d’arrêt d’urgence » [1] sont autant de menaces majeures pesant sur notre liberté d’expression et de communication. Ces menaces proviennent d’industries et de politiciens, dérangés par l’avènement d’Internet.

En tant qu’hôte du G8, le président Nicolas Sarkozy veut renforcer le contrôle centralisé d’Internet. Il a convié les dirigeants du monde à un sommet visant à œuvrer pour un « Internet civilisé », un concept qu’il a emprunté au gouvernement chinois. Par le biais de peurs telles que le « cyber-terrorisme », leur objectif est de généraliser des règles d’exception afin d’établir la censure et le contrôle, attaquant ainsi la liberté d’expression et d’autres libertés fondamentales.

Ils emballeront cette politique dans des termes comme « démocratie » et « responsabilité », mais regardez leurs actions. En France, Sarkozy a déjà permis la déconnexion d’Internet de citoyens et la censure de contenus en ligne.

Internet nous permet d’exprimer nos opinions de manière universelle. Internet nous unit et nous rend forts. Il s’agit d’un espace où se rencontrent les diverses civilisations de notre planète. Notre imagination, à travers les différents médias que nous créons et publions, nous aide à protéger nos droits et un Internet libre. Alors que les dirigeants du monde se réunissent à la fin du mois, nous devons tous ensemble user de notre créativité afin de rejeter toute tentative de transformation d’Internet en un outil de répression et de contrôle.

A propos de la poésie génétique

La poésie écrite sur les lettres de l’ADN fut explorée dans les années 1990 de façon à trouver des chemins de manipulation génétique moins controversés que les OGM 1. Les poèmes sur les lettres de l’ADN n’utilisent que les lettres A (adenine), T (thymine), G (guanine) et C (cytosine). La poésie en ADN strict impose qu’une transcription soit possible (avec des vrais triplets codons et des starters). La poésie mixte ADN/ARN utilise la lettre additionnelle U (uracil). D’un poème sur l’ADN on peut déduire un poème conjugué sur l’ARN, dans lequel la lettre T est remplacée par la lettre U. Ainsi, le poème conjugué de celui présenté ci-dessus est:

et sa signification n’a pas encore été déchiffrée.

Ils demandèrent à chacun d’amener une production utilisant tout matériau à l’exception du code génétique. L’esprit de contradiction me poussa à amener une production utilisant le code génétique comme seul matériau. Les seuls poèmes en code génétique connus émanent d’Alexandra Uitdenbogerd et votre serviteur, mais nous espérons que ce mouvement artistique s’étendra. Ne pas confondre la poésie écrite sur les lettres de l’ADN avec la poésie encodée en vrai ADN recombinant qui est une prouesse impressionnante mais dont la lecture demande un équipement particulier.
